Behind Picnics & Pillows
Hi, I’m Laurien - mom of three, creative soul, and the heart behind Picnics & Pillows.
I’ve always loved parties and decorating. There’s something truly magical about transforming a space with thoughtful details that make people smile and turn ordinary moments into memories. After becoming a mom, I realized how precious time is and how overwhelming planning and hosting can feel. That’s why I decided to combine my love for creativity and celebration to start Picnics & Pillows.
My goal is simple: to take the stress off you and create celebrations that are beautiful, magical, and full of joy. Whether it’s a whimsical sleepover or a cozy picnic setup, I handle everything from start to finish - setup, styling, and clean-up - so you can relax and enjoy the moment.
I love collaborating with my clients to bring their ideas to life, adding personal touches that make every event feel unique. Seeing the joy on someone’s face when they walk into a space I’ve created is what inspires me every time.

Holiday Special
If you’re looking for a fun way to make the holidays feel extra magical for the kids, I’m offering holiday teepee slumber setups. I have a variety of color themes for both Christmas and NYE, and always happy to customize.
These setups are DIY (you’ve got this!) and you get to keep them for 2 nights. I’ll drop everything off with easy setup instructions and then pick it all up after.
Setup cost: $100 for 2 nights, available December 20 - Jan 2 (no drop-offs or pick-ups on the 25th). limited number available.
